Meet Anoj, General and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon and Surgical Endoscopist.
Anoj is an experienced, compassionate surgeon who is dedicated in providing the best possible care for his patients. The experience he has gained by working in several metro and rural hospitals, both public and private has given him the ability to connect with patients of all walks of life very easily. He takes pride in advocating for patient centered care and is keen to discuss your problem and find the best solution with you.
Anoj specialises in all aspects of general surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery, having obtained the Master of Minimally Invasive Surgery diploma from the University of Adelaide. His practice encompasses all aspects of general surgery, both elective and emergency, hernia repair, surgery for gallbladder disease, treatment of anorectal disorders, surgery for reflux disease and is accredited in Endoscopy and Colonoscopy procedures with GESA.
Anoj completed his surgical training in Sri Lanka and undertook further training in Upper GI and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Monash Health in Melbourne and Rural Surgery at the Royal Darwin Hospital. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015 and was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Darwin Hospital. In 2017 he moved to Queensland and worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the Toowoomba Hospital for several years before moving to South Australia.
He holds public hospital appointments at Lyell McEwin Hospital and Port Lincoln Hospital and visits Whyalla Hospital regularly.
In his leisure, Anoj enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and travelling. He enjoys playing guitar, running out for a game of touch footy or simply walking with his dogs.
